Taeho Choi is a Seoul-based curator and art director working across East Asia and Europe. Through exhibitions, research, and writing, he connects artists, institutions, and cultural contexts across regions, with a focus on transnational artistic exchange, cultural mobility, and new forms of international collaboration. Based in Korea, his practice has developed through sustained exchanges between Korea, the Baltic region, and East Asia, while extending to broader networks across Europe and Asia.

Choi’s curatorial practice moves beyond one-time cultural exchange centered on the presentation of specific countries or regions. Instead, he is interested in the relationships, networks, and possibilities for collaboration that emerge as artists and institutions move across different cultural contexts. His projects bring together artists and institutions from different regions through exhibitions, research, and international exchange programs. In 2025, he curated Adonis Syndrome in Riga, Latvia, and served as International Commissioner for the 13th Ulsan International Woodcut Print Festival.

In 2021, Choi was appointed as the first Art Director of Sun Blanket Foundation, a cultural nonprofit foundation established with the approval of the Seoul Metropolitan Government. In this role, he developed exhibitions and international exchange programs in collaboration with embassies, cultural institutions, and artists from Korea and abroad. He has also participated as a collaborator in the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) International Residency Exchange Program, contributing to the development of international projects and institutional collaborations.

Choi has participated in international residency programs including Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, ISSP Riga Residency in Latvia, and Residency Unlimited in New York. These experiences have expanded his curatorial research and international networks, particularly around transnational curatorial practices and cultural mobility. During his 2026 residency at Residency Unlimited, he conducted research on transnational curatorial practices and cultural mobility and presented his research through the organization's public programming.

His practice currently brings together curatorial projects, research, writing, and international collaboration across East Asia and Europe. Rather than approaching international exchange as a one-time movement between countries or regions, Choi focuses on developing sustained relationships and networks through which artists, institutions, and ideas can move across cultural contexts. His ongoing work explores how such forms of mobility can create new possibilities for curatorial practice and collaboration.

최태호는 서울을 기반으로 동아시아와 유럽을 오가며 활동하는 큐레이터이자 아트 디렉터이다. 전시, 리서치, 글쓰기를 통해 서로 다른 지역의 작가와 기관, 문화적 맥락을 연결하며, 초국가적 예술 교류와 문화적 이동성, 그리고 새로운 형태의 국제적 협업에 주목한다. 한국을 기반으로 활동해온 그는 한국과 발트 지역, 동아시아 사이에서 지속적인 교류를 발전시켜왔으며, 이를 유럽과 아시아 전역의 보다 넓은 네트워크로 확장해왔다.

최태호의 큐레토리얼 실천은 특정 국가나 지역을 소개하는 일회적인 문화교류를 넘어선다. 그는 작가와 기관이 서로 다른 문화적 맥락을 이동하는 과정에서 형성되는 관계와 네트워크, 그리고 그 과정에서 발생하는 새로운 협업의 가능성에 주목한다. 서로 다른 지역의 작가와 기관을 연결하는 전시, 리서치, 국제교류 프로그램을 통해 다양한 문화적 맥락 사이의 관계를 구축해왔으며, 2025년에는 라트비아 리가에서 《Adonis Syndrome》을 기획하고 제13회 울산국제목판화페스티벌의 International Commissioner로 국제 부문을 맡았다.

2021년에는 서울특별시의 설립허가를 받아 설립된 문화예술 비영리법인 햇빛담요재단의 첫 아트 디렉터로 임명되었다. 이 역할을 통해 대사관, 문화기관, 국내외 작가들과 협력하며 전시와 국제교류 프로그램을 개발해왔다. 또한 국립현대미술관(MMCA)의 국제교류 입주프로그램 관련 협력자로 참여하며 국내외 기관과 함께 다양한 국제 프로젝트와 협업을 개발해왔다.

최태호는 Cité Internationale des Arts(Paris), ISSP Riga Residency(Latvia), Residency Unlimited(New York)  국제 레지던시 프로그램에 참여하며 큐레토리얼 리서치와 국제 네트워크를 확장해왔다. 특히 초국가적 큐레토리얼 실천과 문화적 이동성을 중심으로 리서치를 진행해왔으며, 2026년 Residency Unlimited에서는 이러한 연구를 발전시키고 기관의 공개 프로그램을 통해 발표했다.

현재 최태호는 동아시아와 유럽을 중심으로 전시, 리서치, 글쓰기 및 국제 협업 프로젝트를 이어가고 있다. 국가나 지역 사이의 일회적인 이동으로서 국제교류를 바라보기보다, 작가와 기관, 아이디어가 서로 다른 문화적 맥락을 오갈 수 있는 지속적인 관계와 네트워크를 구축하는 데 주목한다. 이러한 이동과 관계의 구조가 새로운 큐레토리얼 실천과 협업의 가능성을 어떻게 만들어내는지를 탐구하고 있다.
