Taeho Choi is a Seoul-based curator working across East Asia and Europe. His curatorial practice connects artists, institutions, and contexts across regions through exhibitions, research, and writing, with a particular focus on transnational artistic exchange. He is a member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), affiliated with its International Committee for Fine Arts (ICFA).

Choi has presented projects including Reflections of Taiwan at Soulangh Cultural Park (Tainan) and South of the Border, West of the Sun at Lazy Mike (Seoul), and served as the International Commissioner for the 13th Ulsan International Woodcut Print Festival. He has collaborated with institutions such as Polígrafa Obra Gràfica (Spain), the Vilnius Academy of Arts (Lithuania), and the Taad Foundation, expanding his practice across multiple cultural contexts.

He previously studied art business and curatorial theory, and has curated exhibitions at Maison Baccarat Korea, Seoul Auction Gangnam Center, and various independent and public venues. In 2021, he was appointed as the first Art Director of the Sun Blanket Foundation under the supervision of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, where he developed exhibition programs with embassies and cultural institutions—introducing emerging Baltic artists to Korea and archiving mid-career Korean artists often overlooked by public institutions.

Choi has been an artist-in-residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris and the ISSP Riga Residency in Latvia, further deepening his engagement with cross-cultural artistic development. He also collaborated with the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), Korea, through its International Residency Exchange Program, supporting the invitation of Latvian artists and contributing to transnational curatorial initiatives.

Driven by a commitment to fostering international artistic exchange, Choi continues to build collaborative platforms, research initiatives, and exhibition projects that connect artists and institutions across diverse cultural landscapes. In 2026, Choi will participate as an invited curatorial resident at Residency Unlimited (New York), continuing his research into transnational curatorial practices.

최태호는 서울을 기반으로 동아시아와 유럽을 오가며 활동하는 큐레이터이다. 그의 큐레토리얼 실천은 전시, 리서치, 글쓰기를 통해 서로 다른 지역의 작가, 기관, 맥락을 연결하며, 특히 초국가적 예술 교류에 주목한다. 그는 국제박물관협의회(ICOM) 산하 국제미술위원회(ICFA) 회원이다.

최근에는 제13회 울산국제목판화페스티벌 해외 커미셔너(International Commissioner)로 참여했으며, Soulangh Cultural Park(대만)의 〈Reflections of Taiwan〉, Lazy Mike(서울)의 〈South of the Border, West of the Sun〉 등을 기획했다. 폴리그라파 오브라 그라피카(스페인), 빌뉴스 예술대학교(리투아니아), 타드 재단 등 여러 기관과 협력하며 활동 범위를 확장해왔다.

최태호는 아트 비즈니스와 큐레이터 이론을 공부했으며 메종 바카라 코리아, 서울옥션 강남센터 등에서 전시를 기획했다. 2021년부터는 서울시 소관 햇빛담요재단의 첫 아트디렉터로 부임해 대사관 및 해외문화기관과 협력하여 발트 3국 신진 작가들을 한국에 소개하고, 국내 미술 제도권에서 소외되기 쉬운 중견 작가들을 아카이빙하는 프로그램을 구축했다.

또한 그는 파리 시테 국제예술센터(Cité Internationale des Arts)와 라트비아 ISSP Riga Residency의 레지던트로 참여하며 국제 레지던시 경험을 확장해왔다. 더불어 국립현대미술관(MMCA)의 국제교류 레지던시 프로그램에 협력해 라트비아 작가 초청 및 국제 공동 프로젝트 기획에도 참여했다.

최태호의 목표는 전시·페스티벌·연구·교류 프로그램 등을 통해 한국과 세계를 잇는 창의적 플랫폼을 구축하고, 국제 예술교류의 다양한 가능성을 지속적으로 탐구하는 데 있다. 2026년 최태호는 뉴욕의 레지던시 언리미티드(Residency Unlimited)에 초청 큐레이터 레지던트로 참여하며, 트랜스내셔널한 큐레토리얼 실천에 대한 연구를 이어갈 예정이다.
